Emmy award winning TV host Ernie Johnson joined Turner Broadcasting in 1989. The son of former Atlanta Braves player/announcer Ernie Johnson Sr., EJ became a household name thanks to hosting the NBA on TNT and winning an Emmy award for best host in 2002. But his life is so much more than that. After having two children of their own, Ernie and wife Cheryl, decided to adopt a young boy from Romania. Michael has been diagnosed with MS and is a gift from God. Following Michael coming to the family, the Johnson's went to Uraguay to adopt a girl named Gabrielle. The Johnson's house is as full as their hearts, donating time to many Atlanta charities. Ernie meets every Thursday for a men's Bible study that includes Atlanta Brave's pitcher John Smoltz and Third Day lead singer Mac Powell.
