Hospitality is NOT dead! James Henderson is a proven leader who shares the importance of bringing a little bit of the hospitality business into EVERY service focused organization.

There is no substitute for the lessons learned from experience. As a manager for Ruby Tuesday® restaurants at 22 years old, my lifelong learning sessions began. I’ve experienced a lot of trial by fire and opportunities for learning during my 30 years+ of multi-unit management, training, and human resources management in the restaurant business. I’ve learned that service, hospitality, and becoming a servant-leader are crucial in life’s endeavors as a full-time pastor leading a regular attendance upwards of 2300-3000 weekly.

I bring a wealth of energy and experience to my interactive keynotes and workshops as an authority on the “Culture of Hospitality” and “Leading the Follower.”. Each keynote or workshop is designed to focus on each individual organization's unique culture, strengths, and challenges. I strive to leave with your leaders a solid reinforcement of their positive attributes and a realistic, focused plan to reduce their challenges. I will emphasize direct and honest but challenging and encouraging interactions all around when engaging with your leaders as they develop communication strategies for your staff, your clients, and your customers.

I’m a self-proclaimed “Son of the Bluegrass,” and the lessons learned growing up in my hometown, with just two stores and a water tank for the train, farming tobacco, shearing sheep with my dad, and being an unpaid apprentice in his slaughterhouse, has provided uplifting, humorous, and relevant lessons I share with my clients. The “village raises the child” mentality was taught early in my life and has never left me. I draw from relevant experiences of a lifetime spent serving others, developing teams to serve, and building leaders to recommend client-based strategies. I am an open book and willing to share the failures that have provided the greatest lessons and opportunities for success. You and your leaders can learn from them too, without having to make them.

Whether you are looking for a keynote speaker to energize, challenge your leadership, or facilitate a leadership workshop that begins with, incorporates, and supercharges your established culture, I am your man.
