Cyndi practices what she preaches. A Certified Speaking Professional, she speaks most often to healthcare, pharmaceutical, women's, consumer, foodservice, insurance, and technical audiences and is author of six books with major publishers. Her latest book, Fearless Facilitation (Pfeiffer/Wiley, 2013) is coauthored with colleague Kevin E. O'Connor, MA, CSP. 10 Steps to Successful Time Management (ASTD Press, 2010) is a practical guide to life and work priorities. SPEAK UP!: A Woman's Guide to Presenting Like a Pro (St. Martin's Press, 2008) focuses on power presentations and influence skills for women.  Also with coauthor Kevin O'Connor, Cyndi wrote the top-selling field guide, PRESENT LIKE A PRO (St. Martin's Press, NYC 2006).  Present like a Pro demystifies public and professional speaking. It's Your Move: Dealing Yourself the Best Cards in Life and Work(Prentice-Hall, 2003) offers cards to play to be your best.

Owner of Cyndi Maxey LLC (formerly Maxey Creative) since 1989, with an MA from Northwestern University in Communication Studies, she finds the right blend of INTERACTION, FACTS AND FUN to encourage engaged learning. Having acted in many professional plays, voice-overs and commercials, she brings a strong performance background to coaching and presenting.

Past President of National Speakers Association - Illinois Chapter and former NSA National CSP Council member, Cyndi is a strong advocate for volunteerism and will encourage your volunteer leaders and trainers as well.

Cyndi lives in Chicago where she enjoys singing with Edgewater Singers,  walking along the lake, tennis and Zumba; her active grown children provide both balance and chaos in her life.
