Students will be asked to complete pre-work before each class, actively participate during the&nbsp;class, and record reflections after class.
Class Participation
This class is offered as in-person or virtually and will be highly interactive and experiential. Everyone is encouraged to actively participate in online chat, asking questions, breakout sessions, and independent study. 
 
To complete this course, it is intended for all interactions in class to be civil, respectful, and supportive of an inclusive learning environment for all participants. Demeaning or putting down your classmates is not acceptable.
We encourage you to reach out to the facilitators at any time with additional questions, comments, concerns for you to have the best experience.
We expect everyone to be responsible. We will give you 100% as the facilitators. Students will get out of the class what you put into it.
We encourage students to be themselves and also be willing to step outside of their comfort zone. 
 
Oftentimes the biggest rewards and lessons in life come from stepping outside of our comfort zones. Students may be asked to think or do things they may not have thought about regarding connecting and communicating before.
Students will enjoy this class the most if they bring their curiosity, openness, and attention to each session.
Note: the majority of this course is about connecting with the other classmates. The advance readings prompt group discussion, but we also have incorporated several breakout sessions for the group to make stronger connections with one another.
Note - there are many more interactive exercises for groups if this class is taught in-person rather than virtual.
