Ruth Rathblott
What’s holding your people back? Chances are—they’re hiding.
Ruth works with leaders and teams to unhide what’s been tucked away: their voices, ideas, and potential. With her 4-step Unhiding Framework, she gives audiences the tools to reconnect, re-energize, and thrive.
Ruth Rathblott works with organizations ready to unlock their people’s potential—by creating cultures where employees can stop hiding and start thriving.
Born with a limb difference and having hidden it for over 25 years, Ruth knows firsthand the emotional toll of covering parts of who we are—and the freedom that comes when we stop. Her journey of “unhiding” has inspired leaders, employees, and students across industries to embrace their own uniqueness, lead with humanity, and build cultures rooted in belonging and performance.
Ruth is a TEDx and global keynote speaker, a 2x bestselling author of Unhide & Seek and Singlehandedly, and a former award-winning CEO. She spent over 25 years leading nonprofit organizations focused on access and opportunity—including Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC and the Harlem Educational Activities Fund (HEAF). Her leadership journey, profiled in The New York Times Corner Office, reflects her passion for helping others rise by being seen.
With warmth, humor, and actionable frameworks like her four-step Unhide Model, Ruth gives audiences the tools to move from self-protection to connection, from performance anxiety to possibility.
She’s spoken to 70+ companies across 25 industries—including Nasdaq, Barclays, Paramount, and Sony—and her message continues to resonate across corporate, university, and conference stages.
Ruth holds a BA from Goucher College and an MSW from Boston University. She currently serves on the boards of The Lucky Fin Project and Goucher College.
