Peter Tyson
Peter Tyson is a trained helicopter engineering test pilot, test pilot instructor, and Acquisition Professional. After 21 years on active duty as an officer in the US Navy, Peter now provides workforce training and development, primarily for the 8 Naval Air System Command sites across the US and other government agencies and industry partners.
Peter introduces flight test engineers to the discipline of test and evaluation, test planning, and test reporting. He instructs in the areas of program/project management, stakeholder engagement, logistics, and sustainment. His facilitation includes risk-based decision making, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Additionally, Peter conducts workshops with individual teams, concentrating on leadership, team dynamics, strategic planning, and tactical execution. He leads training seminars (with practical exercises and real-time feedback) to help others become effective workforce trainers or develop improved speaking and writing skills to become confident, engaging, and dynamic communicators.
