As a young man, Skip Wilkins was on top of the world! He had over 20 football / track scholarship offers, friends, girls, and a great family. However, three days after his high school graduation, all his dreams were shattered! While water skiing, he suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed, never to walk again. This tragedy marked the end of his life as a promising college and professional athlete -- and marked the beginning of his life as a quadriplegic. Many of us would have stopped dreaming but Skip never did. With family, faith and hard work, Skip rebuilt The Dream. He has a degree in psychology, a strong and rewarding marriage and thriving businesses. He is a respected author and international speaker. He holds gold medals in international athletic competition. He's been honored by cities, states, and nations and has had honorary doctorates conferred upon him. He has had private audiences with Former Presidents Reagan and Bush, Vice President Quayle and First Lady Barbara Bush. And when he takes some time to slow his pace, he's a pretty good fisherman!
