Raised in North Carolina by loving professionally employed parents, Whiteside earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from North Carolina Central University. She went on to complete the master's program in Public Administration at NCCU. She later completed her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Liberty University. She also holds a paralegal certificate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a Board-Certified Life Coach and she seeks to complete her doctorate in Community Care and Counseling.
