Raised in Harlem, she landed her first record deal at the early age of 19. She was endeared by an entire generation with her worldwide smash hit song "Milkshake," her uniquely feminist anthem "Bossy," and her dancefloor-dominating collaboration with Calvin Harris "Bounce." Over nearly two decades in the music business, she has released six albums, performed in all corners of the world, been nominated for multiple Grammys, charted numerous top ten singles, and sold millions of albums along the way. Kelis is a Le Cordon Bleu trained chef with multiple television cooking specials, a burgeoning entrepreneurial streak with her own line of sauces, and now a cookbook author. She most recently hosted Netflix's Cooked with Cannabis and currently lives with her family on her farm in Southern California.
