Current Project: June currently stars on Netflix's first comedy series GRACE AND FRANKIE (2015) as 'Brianna Hanson' the sharp and witty daughter of titular Grace and Robert Hanson. Season 6 premiered in 2020 and the series has been greenlit for its 7th and final season. She is also set to star in the upcoming Netflix comedy film YES DAY (2020) as 'Aurora Peterson' and Universal Pictures drama HIGH NOTE (2020).
Film History: June made her film debut as 'Tammy' in THE WEDDING WEEKEND (2006). Since then she's starred in ZODIAC (2007), FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL (2008), BRIDE WARS (2009), which she also co-wrote, YEAR ONE (2009), GOING THE DISTANCE (2010), and BACHELORETTE (2012), alongside Kirsten Dunst and Rebel Wilson. She also starred in GIRL MOST LIKELY (2012) and wrote and starred in her 2013 Sundance film ASS BACKWARDS. She also worked on ANCHORMAN 2: THE LEGEND CONTINUES (2013) alongside Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, and Christina Applegate and THE DISASTER ARTIST (2017), BLOCKERS (2018), and LONG SHOT (2019), alongside Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen.
Television History: In addition to her role in GRACE AND FRANKIE, June voiced Devin on Netflix's BIG MOUTH (2017-2019) and has voiced multiple characters on FOX's AMERICAN DAD! (2011-2019). She also starred in Yahoo! Screen's BURNING LOVE (2012-2013) and Adult Swim's NTSF:SD: SUV (2011-2013). In addition, June had an 8-episode arc on FOX's NEW GIRL (2012-2018) and has had guest roles on NBC's PARKS AND RECREATION (2013) and HBO's VEEP (2017), among others.
Comedic & Writing History: June began her comedy career writing and performing with the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre (UCB) in New York, and later in Los Angeles. Her best-known work at UCB was the long-running sketch show RODE HARD AND PUT AWAY WET with her comedy partner Casey Wilson, which ran from 2003 to 2006, and was the official selection of 2005's US Comedy Arts Festival. She still performs at UCB Los Angeles. On the writing front, June recently wrote and released a book titled Represent: The Woman's Guide to Running for Office and Changing the World, which inspires women to run for office.
Entrepreneurial History: June is the co-founder of The Jane Club, the first and only community and coworking space with onsite childcare that is designed with amenities needed by mothers - a workspace, childcare, and an entire village of services, experiences, and products.
Philanthropic History: June throws the annual It's Not Your Parents' Dance Party in LA to benefit the Bresee Foundation and after-school program and family services organization that helps young people pursue an education. She also helped found the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre (UCB) associated the "UCB Corps" community, a volunteer charity organization.
Podcast History: June hosts the Webby Award-winning podcast HOW DID THIS GET MADE? alongside her husband, actor-comedian Paul Scheer, and comedian Jason Mantzoukas. Each episode features the deconstruction and mockery of outlandish and bad films. There are over 200 episodes, downloaded millions of times per month and they have toured to sold out venues across the country.
Personal: June grew up in New York, where she then attended NYU Tisch School of the Arts and began her career. She relocated to Los Angeles in 2005 where she lives with her actor-comedian husband Paul Scheer and their two sons.
