Bavani comes from an IT background. She has been involved in the training industry for the past 11 years. Prior to that she has been in the sales line for both IT and training industry.

Her passion has always have been in the area of learning and development from a young age as she is from a background where there are a lot of teachers in the family. She is also very curious about understanding a person's cognitive abilities and behavioral characteristics. This has led her to study and get certifications on psychometric assessment tools.

Her work in sales previously has allowed her to work with people from many industries and background. Her strengths and capabilities in handling diverse clientele is now an advantage in helping out participants to be aware of their strengths and gaps.

Her work now mostly revolves around students and youth programs as she is passionate about helping them to be the future leaders of the country. She is also very much involved in team building, psychometric assessment tools, game based learning, motivation, career coaching for students and young adults and self-awareness programs as well as some corporate clients. In the past, she has been involved in various roles for Skim Latihan 1Malaysia for GLC's and now known as PROTÉGÉ. She also spoke on using LinkedIn as a branding tool for graduates in IIUM Career Fair 2019.

Bavani is the Past President for Malaysian Association of Professional Speakers (MAPS) which is affiliated with Global Speakers Federation (GSF) and Member of Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) Trainer Development Framework Review Committee for the year 2018. 

In April 2017, Bavani was awarded The Golden Globe Tigers Award 2017 by World HRD Congress for the category of Women Achiever and Leaders (Malaysia), Global Goodwill Ambassador, Women Leadership Excellence Award in 2018 Perdana Awards 2019 – Special Achievement (Self-Development Excellence)

Bavani was also featured on Astro Vizhuthugal, a Malaysian Tamil channel twice to speak on what SPM/STPM students can do after exams to increase and enhance their personal development skills as well as how to improve positive thoughts using language pattern. She has also contributed articles in Makkal Osai for women empowerment. Also has been featured on Bernama, MinnalFm for talks.
