Harpaul Sambhi is an entrepreneur and current angel investor. He bootstrapped his first business, Careerify, serving over 250,000 users globally at customers such as Microsoft, Deloitte, Unilever, Blizzard Activision, and SpaceX. Careerify achieved profitability within it's 2nd year of business and was acquired by LinkedIn in 2015, marking LinkedIn's first acquisition outside of the United States. Harpaul joined LinkedIn and rebuilt Careerify and oversaw LinkedIn's HCM initiative, and led product development for LinkedIn's partner ecosystem in the recruitment space. After LinkedIn was acquired by Microsoft, Harpaul joined Microsoft's Dynamics product team to build a best in class HR technology suite.
During his professional career, Harpaul has been fortunate to write a book, Social_HR, published by Carswell/Thomson-Reuters, analyzing the impact of social media on the HR Industry. This led to some very fortunate speaking opportunities across North America and Europe, and becoming a lecturer at the Kellogg-Schulich School of Business.

Harpaul was a great help when I was in the early stages of starting my company. He was very open with both his time and advice. I appreciate both his social media expertise and his drive to change the way traditional business works.

I would consider Harpaul a guru when it comes to Social Media. We have had the privilege of working with Harpaul on a few occassions and his can-do attitude; creative spirit; detailed knowledge of his subject matter and highly interactive manner with his audience makes him an exceptional facilitator. He is a true partner when it comes to interacting with his clients and the delivery of his material is always top quality. His book Social HR is a must read.

Harpaul did a fantastic job speaking to the Conference Board of Canada's recent social media conference in Ottawa. In a room full of leaders and hiring managers from the public and charitable sectors - Harpaul's energy, insights and out-of-the-box thinking challenged each of us to rethink our business as usual and consider the potential ROI of integrating Social HR and new technologies into our hiring and business practices. I look forward to his upcoming book, and will no doubt recommend my employer and others to look at engaging Careerify in their next rounds of strategic planning.

What can I say about Harpaul without writing a million positive words articulating his incredible drive, intelligence, and networking savvy? He is a force to be reckoned with and I look forward to seeing the incredible feats he will continue to accomplish professionally and personally in his lifetime. He is one of those rare individuals that you know will go far and not on the coat tails of others. He also cares and intrinsically wants to facilitate individuals achieving and accomplishing their goals. The secret to his success, I believe, is not only his ability to always see the cup as half full, but his desire to fill it with lots of extras!
