Jonathan Mooney is a writer and activist. He's also dyslexic and did not learn to read until he was 12 years old. He graduated from Brown University with an honors degree in English Literature. With the publication of "Learning Outside the Lines" -- part memoir and part alternative study skills guide -- Mooney established himself as one of the foremost leaders in LD/ADHD and alternative education. Mooney is currently the executive director of Project Eye-To-Eye, a nationally acclaimed mentoring program for children with LD/ADHD. Project Eye-To-Eye's mission is to partner with colleges and universities to bring college students with LD/ADHD into the lives of elementary-school students with LD/ADHD as role models, tutors, and mentors. Mooney has lectured internationally, and has been featured and quoted in "The New York Times," "The Providence Journal," "The Boston Globe," and "USA Today." Mooney was awarded the distinguished Truman Fellowship for graduate study in the field of education and public service and was a national finalist for the Rhodes scholarship.
