From 2015 - 2018 I've been working in the venture capital industry. I'm very proud of the team at Tractable, where I was able to lead the Series A, and the numerous other companies that I met and worked with at SRI and Ignition.
In 2013, I sold the company I co-founded, ionGrid, to NetApp. ionGrid built the best software to enable mobile employees to securely access corporate files, intranet web sites, and other information, without having to put any of that data into the cloud.
Prior to ionGrid, I was VP of Software Engineering at Perceptive Pixel, the highly acclaimed company who created the modern multitouch touchscreen user interface. Perceptive Pixel was acquired by Microsoft in 2012.
Before PPI, I was CEO at TokBox, a Sequoia and Bain-funded startup building video chat and video mail tools that run directly in the browser. During my time there, I built our management team, grew our engineering to more than double its old size, and raised a $10MM Series B. The company saw massive user growth, improvements in retention and usage metrics, and won the Communication Arts award for Interactive Design.
Before that, I was Chief Software Architect at NVIDIA from 1997 to 2005. During that time, I built an incredibly talented team of engineers, in Europe and the U.S., to build a very complex 3D graphics software library. The products my team built directly added several hundred million dollars of high-margin business to the company's bottom-line. I led development teams which built everything from workstation products to Macintosh software to part of the software in the Sony Playstation 3.

Nick appeared on the scene and TokBox in a time of tumult and uncertainty. He quickly applied his managerial and engineering acumen establishing new infrastructure in the ethics, psychology, and technology within the business. His unbridled candor and heartfelt enthusiasm earns Nick my respect and recommendation for your elite software team.

M.G., Video DevOps Architect, Twitch
It's been rare for me to find a CEO with his feet planted firmly on both the technical and management sides of his business. Nick's been the exception. His attention to both product design and implementation has inspired the Tokbox team. At the same time, he manages to make every interaction positive; no matter what the situation- everything good I've learned about managing people, I've learned from Nick.

J.D., Software Engineer, Apple
One of the best, if not the best, manager I've ever worked for. He has the perfect blend of technical and people skills. He knows enough to guide you, but knows when to get out of the way and let you grow. And from what I can tell indirectly, he was successful on the business side as well, and destined for great things.

S.D., Tech Lead Manager, Google
Nick was always professional while bringing much needed hilarity to a high-energy, competitive environment at NVIDIA. He garnered respect up and down the hierarchy for his technical and managerial talents.
