William Hsieh
Born in 1948 to parents Hsu Ying Hsieh and Ching Hsun Hsieh, William's business career began in 1976 with a company called Shin Tong Lumber that provided raw materials to manufacturers. Once that chapter concluded, he started his own successful furniture distribution company called Da Tong Furniture. In 1982, he was elected chairman of the Taiwan Furniture Association, and in 1983 he received the 6th Youth Entrepreneur of Taiwan Award.
William continued leading Da Tong until 1990 when he was elected to be a Taiwan National Assemblyman and sold his business to his brother.
After a set back with his next venture, Da Tong Disney Castle, the next stage of William's life began on April 1st, 1997. It was at that point he decided to give up everything and move to America. He was 50 years old and staring down the wilderness. With the help of Mrs. Jeanny Fung, William started Lifestyle Enterprises, Inc. which would go on to become one of the 10 best companies in Taiwan, growing at a 50% rate from 1997 to 2006.
Still enjoying success today, William's revolutionary WHW product development and growth strategy laid the foundation for a multi-billion dollar business. And what worked for him can work for you and your business.
