TX, USPete Havel has served as a lobbyist and political strategist for some of America's leading business advocacy associations, including his time as the Southwest and South Central Regional Director for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
In those roles, he served as a lobbyist, media spokesman, negotiator, crisis communicator, and fundraiser.
He's also served at top strategic communications firms like Burson Marsteller, The Wolf Group, and Sunwest Communications, helping businesses create brands, protect reputations and help companies tell their stories to their customers.
Pete is now an author, speaker, trainer, and consultant. He wrote The Arsonist in the Office after a surreal experience inside a fictionalized company he calls 'The Firm'. The Arsonist in the Office provides readers the tools, tactics, and tips necessary to protect or transform toxic organizational cultures and survive toxic behavior. He provides his fireproofing strategies to organizations through speeches, training and consulting.
He speaks and offers training services regularly to businesses, chambers of commerce, trade associations, and law enforcement groups.
Pete is a 1992 graduate of Baylor University, an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, and leads a never-ending search for the perfect plate of brisket. He and his wife Janie live in Dallas with their 16-year old daughter Reagan.
