Heather Whelpley is a speaker, award-winning author of the book An Overachiever's Guide To Breaking The Rules: How To Let Go Of Perfect and Live Your Truth, and host of the podcast, Create Your Own Rules For Life. Heather has led keynotes and workshops on imposter syndrome, creating your own rules for success, and using your authentic voice to lead change with thousands of people at Fortune 500 companies like Deloitte, General Mills, and Medtronic as well as conferences like the Women In Manufacturing Summit and WE22, The Society Of Women Engineers’ annual conference. Prior to owning her business, Heather worked in a wide variety of leadership development, human resources, and change management roles in both plants and offices at Cargill and Ameriprise for ten years. At Ameriprise she led several programs specifically designed to accelerate the development of women and create connection among women at the firm. Heather has extensive global experience, including living and working in Australia and Latin America. She has a master’s degree in Human Resource Development from the University of Minnesota and is a graduate of the Coaches Training Institute. Heather lives in Colorado where she enjoys as much hiking and exploring as possible. Her second book will be published in Fall 2023.
