We also hosted mini-cons in five markets featuring "ask me anything" sessions with women in events, as well as fast-paced reports on what's trending in experiential marketing. In New York City and San Francisco, speaker, author, entrepreneur, and founder of Headbands of Hope Jess Ekstrom talked about the importance of maintaining a positive mindset. Jenn Monahan of The Financial Gym presented a workshop on salary negotiation. And when the sun went down, women gathered for our networking supper clubs, hosted by Mosaic, to toast the day and each other.
Other activities that week included giveback programs in Austin, Chicago and L.A. in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Together with Sparks, we teamed up with Unite For HER, a nonprofit organization that cares for women after their cancer diagnosis with resources, support, and wellness initiatives, to assemble wellness care boxes. In 12 additional cities, women could donate a new or gently used bra to I Support the Girls, an organization that provides these items as well as menstrual hygiene products for girls and women experiencing homelessness. In exchange, they were served a complimentary cocktail dubbed The "Ruth Bader Gin-sburg."
