Stevie Dawn Carter, PhD, is a 5-time business owner, nationally recognized speaker, best-selling author, and a passionate advocate for emotional intelligence. For the last 20 years, Stevie Dawn has been focused on helping individuals and organizations implement practical strategies for success in the areas of emotional intelligence, communication, and leadership. With a master’s degree in Sociology and a Doctorate in Leadership, she is able to combine her academic research with her practical work experience in the corporate, government, and non-profit sectors, to provide training and tactics that are relatable to all audiences.
In joining Empathix as CEO, Stevie Dawn is using her research and curriculum to develop emotional intelligence training programs that impact individuals at all levels of an organization. Today, Empathix is partnering with organizations across the country to make emotional intelligence a part of the fabric of their culture. By establishing onboarding programs and professional development courses, these organizations are learning how emotional intelligence can impact the bottom-line increasing employee retention, morale, and profits.
When not delivering presentations and trainings on-stage, she works offstage to support The Fleetwood Project, a local community theater organization, by directing and producing Broadway-style theater. She serves as a board member for Cancer Care Services and Texans for the Arts. She resides with her husband and family in Mansfield, Texas.
