Gary C. Sherman, D.M.D. has had an astonishing career which includes 36 years as a practicing cosmetic and restorative dentist in New York City and Long Island. Dr. Sherman was also the president of Pursuits Professional Business Consultants, where he was a formally trained expert in business valuation, with a special interest in valuation approaches for dental and medical practices. Dr. Sherman has lectured extensively on the business side of dental and medical witness testimony for equitable partnership dissolution and divorce proceedings.

For the past twenty-one years, Dr. Sherman has been living and thriving in the face of heart disease and has most recently received a left ventricular assist device (LVAD) while he awaits the gift of a heart transplant. Dr. Sherman has used this time for extensive technical and didactic research in cardiac disease and current treatment modalities, while drawing on his own personal experience as a patient in the healthcare system and active participant in the heart failure and LVAD communities. His seminars and lectures today, are centered on congestive heart failure, from which a vast amount of cutting-edge information, visual creations and emotional personal stories spring to life.

Dr. Sherman has delivered a range of seminars at North Shore University Hospital, the New York Dental Convention, Long Island Dental Meeting, Yale University, Lincoln Hospital and for numerous dental study club meeting in the tri-state area. He is also currently serving as an LVAD Patient Ambassador for Abbott Biomedical, as well as being an Ambassador for the American Heart Association.
