Matt Kenseth last competed full-time in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series in 2017. He spent his career racing for Joe Gibbs Racing and Roush Fenway Racing. Kenseth was born in Cambridge, Wisconsin and started his racing career on short tracks around the state. He competed in a number of series before joining the Busch Series and then the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (then known as the Winston Cup Series) full-time in 2000. That year, he won the Coca-Cola 600 and finished the season with four top 5 finishes and eleven top 10 finishes. In recognition of his efforts, Kenseth was named Rookie of the Year.
