Joanie Harmon

Joanie Harmon is an ordained minister of the Gospel, founder, and President of New Hope Christian Center along with her late husband Pastor Gene Harmon who went home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2015.

Joanie's ministry is multi-faceted and has a general focus on preaching the word, intercessory prayer, healing, deliverance, and restoration.

Joanie was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1956 with the call of God evident in her life from early on in her childhood. Joanie and her husband, Gene, have two sons, Lee & Chris, a daughter-in-law Karen, and two very special granddaughters, Abby and Sophie and a grandson, Aidan.

Luke 4:18-19

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; he has appointed me to preach the good news to the poor, he has sent me to heal the broken hearted and to announce that captives shall be released and the blind shall see, that the down trodden shall be freed from their oppressors, and that God is ready to give blessings to all who come to him."

Joanie is a published author, poet, and songwriter. In 2010, she released her first book "Woman of Warfare" and in 2000, she released a CD titled "Blameless Heart".

Joanie's heart is to see lives changed, healed, set free, and for wholeness to come through the power of Jesus Christ! She has seen tremendous breakthroughs and healings down throughout the years of her ministry.

Joanie is a woman of warfare, she has been called and anointed to sing, preach, and teach the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. She has ministered to many hurting hearts for over 35 years and seen many lives healed and restored through the grace of Jesus Christ. She has preached revivals and been a guest speaker and teacher at many women's retreats. She has held Bible studies all throughout her ministry where they have opened their home and their lives to be used of God to touch a hurting and hopeless generation.

"It has been a one on one ministry for years. Word of mouth spreads fast and many have come to be set free." Our home was the church and we pastored many who needed that personal touch of the Master, Jesus Christ. We not only took them through deliverance but discipled many for years so they would maintain their healing and deliverance. What a call, but so worth the price."

Joanie has a deep burden to see the Church rise up in this hour and be a glowing testimony of God's saving power. Her heart is prayer and intercession and to see spiritual breakthrough come over cities and states here at home and in countries all over the world. Since January 2006, Joanie has traveled to different cities here in America and Europe to specifically pray over those cities, for God's mighty power to be revealed and for strong holds to be broken and pulled down.

The prophetic call on her life has been truly awesome and been so indispensable and vital in strategizing against the enemy and overcoming his strongholds and tactic of divisiveness and destruction.
