Current Project: Matt is set to star in thriller DEATH OF A TELEMARKETER, projected to release in late 2020.
Television History: Matt is previously best known for his role as corrections officer 'John Bennett' on the hit NETFLIX series ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK. He portrayed the character for the first three seasons of the series and is well known for a scandalous pregnancy storyline with inmate ' Daya Diaz'. He earned a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Additional TV appearances include TNT's PUBLIC MORALS, CBS's ELEMENTARY, USA's ROYAL PAINS, CW's GOSSIP GIRL, and CBS's PERSON OF INTEREST. He also recurred on the sketch comedy series COLLEGE HUMOR ORIGINALS. Matt recently starred on the ABC drama HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER as law student turned young lawyer 'Asher Millstone' for six seasons, the first season launched as the #1 new drama on ABC.

Extra: Matt was born and raised in Manhattan and began performing at age 9. He attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School in New York, then Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a global traveler and is an expert in physical fitness, having been a certified trainer. Matt was selected as the 2015 SAG Social Media Ambassador and the 2015 Oscars Red Carpet Fan Ambassador. Matt has strong comedic chops, he starred in a hilarious HTGAWM comedy/music video entitled "Bye Felicia" and a comedic music video for an Australian group PEKING DUK.
