Suzette is a published author, motivational speaker, and an active researcher. God uses these venues, to help her establish clarity and awareness to help clients effectively navigate through their conflict. Suzette is considered a directive counselor, using a straight forward, "shoot from the hip" approach to penetrate through the superficial and address the core of the relationship issue. Whether the relationship is going through marital difficulty, addiction, adultery, divorce, a family of origin issue, or spiritual separation, Suzette provides individuals and couples support and direction to face internal issues to get resolution in high crisis situations. God has placed within her a passion to bring hope in the face of hopelessness. Believing in strengthening what remains, she works with clients to reveal the strong parts of self that are hidden behind the hurt and discouragement.
Suzette Humphreys is has a Masters' degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. Suzette received both her bachelors and masters' degrees from Southeastern and is completing her counseling Ph.D. at Liberty University.
Suzette's Christian journey began early, having received Christ in her life while still a child. During her journey in maturing as a Christian, her relationship with Christ took many turns. She has learned, as a Christian, that although we may fall short on her end, God remains the same and He is always good. He has strengthened her when she was weak, grounded her when she wavered, he has lifted my head in grieving, he has been the lover of my soul when I was lonely, and a joy and peace that has been everlasting and steady. These accolades may sound too good to be true, but she has lived through everyone.
As Suzette's hunger for Christ deepened and her pursuit of him strengthened, the most meaningful experiences in her life have combined into a passion for helping individuals and couples under the guidance of Christ. Suzette states "There are few life experiences that are more painful to people other than the emotional distress of a suffering relationship."
