Her blindness didn't make her depressed or bitter instead she has compassion for the challenges others face. She sees more with her heart than most see with their eyes. Life has inescapable sorrow and pain; Rhonda has learned we can't control that. We can, however, control how we respond. Prayer has been made too hard according to Rhonda. It is simply talking to a God who loves us and gaining his perspective on our situation. It has been a challenge living without sight in a sighted world. Rhonda uses humor to share how she coped with raising children and marriage and looking for a job. She has shared her story of overcoming adversity in twelve cities across the United States. She encourages others to never quit. God does indeed work all things together for good for those who love him.
