John Mitchell is a consultant and workshop leader with over twenty years' experience in leadership and management skills training, interest-based negotiation, team building, facilitation, and is the developer of ChangeWorks' Performance System. John works nationally and internationally with organizations in both the private and public sectors.

John has a proven track record helping people in complex organizations work together more effectively and improve their performance through team problem solving, performance management, and consensus facilitation. He designs and conducts workshops and training programs, and serves as a consultant to organizations in the areas of Team-Based Concern Resolution, Change, Empowerment, Employee Involvement, Performance Management, Partnership, Conflict Resolution, and Communication. He works with all levels of an organization, to help people develop and apply new skills. John holds a Masters degree and Ph.D. in Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois.

Throughout his career, John has been Director of Management Development for a hospital-management company, Industrial Relations Manager for a major brewer, and Director, Division of Human Resource Management for a national association. He has served as Associate or Adjunct Professor for the University of South Florida, Atlanta University, and Central Michigan University. He has also been a faculty member for Kepner-Tregoe, Inc.
