Aspen Crawford

AL, US
American musician

"Hello Dolly!" With those words five-year-old future superstar Aspen Crawford took the first step on her journey at a solo performance in her hometown of Mobile, Alabama. In the years since that fateful moment in 2005 she has been working to build a reputation as a talented and driven performer with a determination that far exceeds her years.
Like many young people who catch the "entertainment bug," Aspen's home has always been filled with music. Her great-grandmother was a country yodeler who sang for the troops during World War II. Her grandmother, who she affectionately refers to as "Grandmama," was a touring gospel singer. Seeing the joy Aspen found in dancing and singing as a toddler, her mother encouraged her to share her talents by performing at local events.
Aspen was drawn to music of the pop and country singers she saw on television including Hannah Montana, Christina Aguilera, and Carrie Underwood. She was taught to sing classical music by her grandmama, who told her that it would help her become a more passionate singer. Aspen is continuing her formal training with renowned voice coach Renee GrantWilliams, who has also worked with Aspen's heroes Miley Cyrus (a.k.a. Hannah Montana) and Aguilera.
Aspen's path has already been decorated with numerous high profile awards and performances. She performed with Disney's Dance the Magic at Disney World in Orlando a total of seven times over the past six years, including a performance that was aired on the ABC Family network. She won the title of Alabama's 2009 International Miss Little Miss Beauty, the 2009 Cover Model Award, and 2009 Photogenic Award.
She has appeared with The Jonas Brothers in a commercial for I Heart Jonas that aired on The Disney Channel. She worked with the Jonas Brothers once again for the ABC Family network Disney Parks Christmas Parade in 2009, an annual event she also performed at in 2008. Along the way, Aspen has performed at numerous festivals throughout the southeast and has appeared as a model in various print campaigns.
Aspen is currently working on a recording project in Nashville, Tennessee with producer Mark Lambert and continuing to build her reputation as a world-class entertainer.
"It would be an honor to hear my music on the radio!" Exclaims Aspen. "I see myself standing on stage dancing and singing my heart out in a bright sparkly rhinestone red dress."
Dreams come true every day. With her amazing talent, unparalleled determination, and the support and encouragement of her family, it's only a matter of time before Aspen's dreams of becoming a hero to the next generation of young singers is realized.
