Creates a neo-soul landscape that is colourful and smoothly expressive

'Miss Shiney'. That's how you could describe the way Kaiit's aura radiates every time she does, or matter of fact, even doesn't do something - she simply shines like the star she is. Which, with introspection, has had an effect on Miss Kaiit.
'Miss Shiney', Kaiit's new single, was inspired by her time away in her birthplace, Papua New Guinea, with no internet or way of communicating with people, encouraging her to recharge and reflect after coming out of a period releasing her debut EP 'Live From Her Room', traveling Australia and New Zealand on a sell out tour and absorbing all the love she's receiving around the world.
With all the success that came in 2018, Kaiit became overwhelmed with writer's block and she started to doubt her natural gifts, and in trying to overcome her fears she managed to transform that energy into self-belief and empowerment instead.
"I would wake up really early when it was still cool inside before it got too hot and I would write and record on the floor because we had no furniture in the house. I would stay and record bootleg demos in there until about 10am every morning." Kaiit shares about her time in Papua New Guinea.
Produced by 18yearoldman and UnoStereo, 'Miss Shiney' wonderfully reflects Kaiit's unique musical style and creates a neo-soul landscape that is colourful and smoothly expressive that is influenced by the cool tones of D'Angelo, Erykah Badu and Amy Winehouse with her own twist.
Kaiit has now become an artist that everyone is watching, especially when milestones like being a highlighted artist at Big Sound 2018, and touring with Smino and The Internet, have elevated her reach around the world, which has now manifested in a huge European Tour, being the only Urban artist at The Great Escape in 2019.
If there's anything that Kaiit wants people to get out of 'Miss Shiney', it's to feel like they can put this song on when they need a reminder to believe in themselves and not to put unneeded pressure on themselves whilst living and manifesting their dreams.
