Stefan Graf is a professional lighting designer and principal of the lighting design firm SGLD Consulting. His projects have received 38 international awards, including two IIDA Awards of Distinction in the same year – the only designer to be so honored. He is a member of the International Association of Lighting Designers Sustainable Design Committee.
He speaks on innovative, efficient, and sustainable lighting design. He has spoken before University students and professional organizations nationwide, and audience response surveys have given his presentations the highest marks.

Stefan Graf began his career as a lighting designer in an era that revolutionized lighting in the concert touring industry. In the early 70s, Stefan founded Fantasee Lighting in Michigan providing services for a variety of international concert and theatrical productions. Today, Stefan continues to design lighting for broadcast video, stage show, special events and corporate theater. Stefan is a recognized leader in exhibit lighting, and the first lighting designer to bring many new and creative lighting solutions to the North American International Auto Show.
Stefan was the founder and design director of Illuminart established in 1983 to provide independent, professional electric and daylighting design for commercial, retail, residential, hospitality, outdoor, house of worship and institutional projects. Sustainable lighting solutions reduce energy and maintenance but also improve user satisfaction. Architectural lighting project examples include:

Stefan continues to be an active member of the design community involved in global lighting education and research programs. He is now a Fellow in the International Association of Lighting Designers. He is also professionally affiliated with the Illuminating Engineering Society. As part of his involvement with the international group the "Professional Lighting Designer's Association" he was chosen as a designer for the "Lights in Alingsas" project in Alingsas, Sweden in 2011.
