MA, USI currently work in a per diem employed academic practice in the specialty of Endocrine, Diabetes and Metabolism, with experience in both private and academic practices for 20+ years. I also provide endocrine services on a locum or part-time basis. I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, as well as a Fellow of American College of Endocrinology (FACE) and Fellow of American College of Physicians (FACP).
I presently consult through expert networks in various topics related to Endocrinology. I have served as an expert witness for both defense and plaintiff cases involving various endocrine issues. In addition, I perform disability file reviews and medical necessity peer reviews. I currently participate in several pharmaceutical speaker bureaus and advisory boards relating to endocrinology.
I am also a SEAK alumnus. I lectured this past year at SEAK on combating physician burnout with non-clinical diversification including knowledge consulting. I seek opportunities to provide keynote lectures and/or provide workshops to physician groups interested in combining non-clinical and clinical activities. During these lectures, I provide a roadmap for entrance to non-clinical work while maintaining a flexible clinical presence. I also stress the importance of selectively seeking only those opportunities that provide professional and economic value. I stress the importance of a balance of clinical and non-clinical activities that rejuvenates clinical interests while preventing physician burnout and exit.
I also provide expert knowledge consulting on matters relating to emerging technologies/pharmaceuticals in endocrinology, as well as current and future disease landscapes.
