NC, USMolly Johnson, CMP has been in the meetings industry over 25 years working in all areas of hotels for both independent hotels and with the Hilton brand. Since 2015 Molly has been the Director of Convention Sales for the Wilmington, North Carolina Convention & Visitors Bureau primarily developing the growing Convention District.
Molly has been a MPI Board Retreat Facilitator since February, 2017 working with chapters varying in size. As a Past President of the MPI Carolinas Chapter Molly understands the goals and challenges of the boards. Molly has served on multiple MPI committees & task forces on the International level and is currently on the Chapter & Membership Advisory Council. She has also served on the Event Industry Council Item Review Panel for three years developing questions found on the current CMP exam. She is also serving on the PCMA Advocacy Task Force.
Molly teaches a CMP bootcamp which covers all domains and can be tailored from 2 hours to 2 days, depending on the needs of the group. She can also speak on any of the domains as a stand alone presentation designed specifically for the group.
In the Wilmington community, Molly is the immediate past president of the Wilmington Area Hospitality Association as well as a Board Member for A Safe Place which is a local non-profit assisting domestic victims of human trafficking. Molly teaches human trafficking awareness training to hotels and other hospitality realated organizations.
