David Knowles-Leak

David Knowles-Leak

LDN, UK
David has spent a lifetime in leadership positions in both business and wider society. He has a background in Sales, Construction, Politics and LD. His book, "Decisions are us" is out this year.

David Knowles-Leak speaks and writes on decision-making.

Nothing gets done without a decision being taken and his mission is to help organisations, businesses and individuals to capitalise on the fact that the rate at which things get done depends on the rate at which decisions get taken. Aside from speaking and writing this is done by facilitating groups, publicly interviewing leaders and mentoring.

He seeks to influence the environment in which businesses work and grow. He is a Director of the Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership where he is a private sector representative. He presents the interests of business on his radio show at Marlow FM. Until recently he was a director and Regional Chair of the small business lobbying group the FSB.

He has also spent the last 20 years working in the field of leadership development.

Previously, he was a Senior Director at sales and general management level in major UK, USA and European corporates. He raised venture capital and led a buyout of UK group of companies in the teeth of a deep recession, and he also
established a trading company which opened up hitherto unexploited supply lines from China and Russia.

David has a degree in Theoretical Mechanics from Nottingham University where he was President of the Union and began a lifelong involvement in the politics of education. He is currently a Governor of the Windsor Forrest College Group.
