Graeme Richards – From Man to Mogul

With almost two decades worth of experience to his name, this media man is ready for more

From anchoring live prime time news to practicing martial arts, Graeme Richards is a man of every moment. Having presented on almost every South African television platform and having conducted interviews with local and international superstars in sport, lifestyle and entertainment, Graeme has sustained an admirable level of success. Currently living in Cape Town, Graeme is co-host on the live daily breakfast show Expresso, which is broadcast on national television to around 1,4 million viewers a day.

With almost two decades of experience, Graeme Richards has enjoyed a career on live television and on stage as a presenter, actor, MC, voiceover-artist and model. With that comes the honour of having interviewed internationally recognised stars such as Anthony Anderson, Boris Kudjoe, Carly Rae Jepson, and South African greats such as Alain Prost, Francois Pienaar, Gary Player and the Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu.

Not stopping at small screen success, Graeme Richards has also had the privilege of having had feature roles in a number of international movie releases; most notably the R100 million budget film Starship Troopers 3: Marauders. He has also been in numerous international television commercials for prominent brands such as Coca Cola, Nokia, Volkswagen and Sun International.

Using the city of Cape Town and its natural surroundings as his playground – as well as being a lifelong martial arts practitioner – Graeme is most definitely in-tune with his physical well-being and participates in every sporting event accessible to him from the Two Oceans Marathon, Cape Town Cycle Tour, Weskus Marathon, Cape Town Rugby 10's and even the odd white collar boxing event. His physique has won him notable attention from the fairer sex with two nominations as Sexiest Man bestowed upon him by Cosmopolitan Magazine in 2016 and 2017. Graeme currently represents the month of June in the Cosmopolitan Sexiest Man 2017 calendar.

A philanthropist above all else, Graeme has played a direct role in raising millions of Rands and an even greater amount in trade and promotion for many charities; a mission he continues to support each and every day. Graeme utilises his profile to uplift people around the country: from rehousing street children in Hillbrow, to massive CSI sponsorship procurements that have year-on-year literally raised tons of stationary and meals to feed hundreds of children, as well as help them grow as inspired individuals.

After being asked what his limits were he answered: "I am game for anything…well, anything except kissing a man (again) and shark cage diving!"
