Looking for a dynamic, charismatic, and inspired mother-son duo whose professional and personal focus is on helping parents create close, connected families that kids want to come home to? Kerry Stutzman, LMFT, and her 25-year-old son, Palmer, help parents navigate their kids’ tricky teen years and create a close, connected family where everyone feels loved, known, and honored. A family where grown kids want to come home for the holidays.
Palmer (certified youth success coach) and Kerry (licensed marriage and family therapist) are experts in parent-teen relationships and provide a unique perspective as a mother-son duo who walked through the tough teen years together. Join them on a heartfelt journey between mother and son as they share their story of a broken relationship during the teen years and the three keys that helped them mend it.
Kerry is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and has a therapy practice in Denver. As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Parent Educator, Public Speaker, and Clinical Supervisor, Kerry has dedicated her life to helping parents be the best version of themselves so that their children feel seen, cherished, and loved. She brings informative and engaging material to every audience with humor, storytelling, experiential learning, and practical strategies. As a parenting expert, her interactive style of presenting has made audiences laugh, cry, and learn.
Palmer is a 25-year-old Teen Success Coach who attends Northwestern University’s Graduate School of Marriage and Family Therapy. He was ‘that kid.’ The one who broke rules for the fun of it and rebelled (hard!) against his parents. He has ADHD and a knack for creating mischief. Sometimes he marvels that he survived some of those crazy teen-year decisions that he made. After a big interruption in life, he made it his life’s work to help teen boys navigate their path through adolescence with success and better decisions.
This mother-son duo is available for keynotes, workshops, and retreats (in-person and virtual) that will motivate your audience to be the parents they wish they had.
In the summer of 2019, Kerry conducted a research project called "Bridge the Gap Between Parents and Teens" to understand what parents can do to help reduce the heartbreak of family conflict and youth suicide. She was selected to speak about her research at an international conference in Basel, Switzerland. Palmer and Kerry incorporate the results of their research into their engaging presentation.
