Kim is a native Houstonian and graduate of Texas A&M University. She has anchored and reported news and sports in Texas, Illinois, Washington, D.C., and New Orleans. She remains active in the community and has worked with and served on several non-profit organizations board of directors including AIDS Foundation Houston, UNCF, Dress for Success, the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Zina Garrison Academy and the National and Houston Associations of Black Journalists.
