In a previous life, as a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser, Mark spent 25 years in practice, was a partner at CCW and then BDO. and Chairman of the ICAEW Tax Faculty. For many years most of his clients were law firms and lawyers - hence the reason he has an affinity with this profession as well as his own.

Now, as well as being a popular speaker at professional conferences, Mark is consistently identified as one of the most influential accountants online. He was also identified by Sage as one of the top 100 global business influencers in 2017.

He is a frequent blogger and contributor to various professional journals, websites and Linkedin where he primarily talks about the impact and consequences of new technology and the real (vs the hyped up) related opportunities to secure more clients, business and profits.
