Lisa Baldino is a professional writer, inspirational speaker and president of her own business, Turn of Phrase, where it's all about the words! An expert in written and spoken communication, Lisa writes all types of business marketing materials as well as executive speeches, and she is a contributing writer to local business and education publications.  Diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease at age 44, Lisa defies her disease by keeping active and helping others to learn to live well with Parkinson's.  She is also a breast cancer survivor.  Lisa is the chair of the University of Maryland Movement Disorders Center "Within Our Reach" symposium, and she was recognized as the 2017 Innovator of the Year for her volunteer work at UMD.  She is an advocate for Women and PD through the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.  Lisa also sits on the board of directors of the Chesapeake Professional Women's Network (CPWN) and she is an advisory board member for Rally Against Parkinson's, a non-profit group  supporting exercise and movement programs for PD patients.  She lives outside of Baltimore with her husband and two teenaged children.
