John Canley, (Sergeant Major United State Marine Corps - Retired), led 147 mud Marines into Hue City Vietnam on January 31, 1968. He singlehandedly charged NVA machine gun emplacements in order to save his Marines. Canley is the recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions at Hue.
John Ligato, (FBI Special Agent - Retired), was at Canley's side during that 30 day historical battle and received three Purple Hearts. Only seven Marines left that city unbloodied. The American Heroes Channel featured John in a documentary titled, Against the Odds – The Marines at Hue. After his discharge John joined the FBI and became one of the premier deep undercover agents in the Bureau's history.
