
Camille Nelson
Ph.D
UT, USCamille Nelson, Ph.D., MPA, has shown depth and innovation in her acoustic guitar and classically inspired music style. Yet her social and educational outreach extends far beyond her performance career.
Camille was raised in a family of musicians and credits much of her songwriting abilities and creative inspiration to her opportunities and experiences abroad. She's had the opportunity to travel through more than 70 countries and has amassed vast multicultural knowledge stemming from years in residence throughout South Africa, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. Travels occurred prior to and while she pursued her Master's degree at the University of Utah and later her Ph.D. at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. She's fluent in German with a strong proficiency in Italian.
In addition to authoring several business journal publications, her first book, Evolve, is slated for release in Fall of 2018. She signed with Stone Angel Music in early 2017 and released her second studio album, "Lead Me Home" that debuted at #8 on the classical-crossover and #11 on the classical Billboard charts as well as #1 on the iTunes and Amazon New Age Music charts. She currently teaches graduate courses in management, communication, and leadership while pursuing a career in music and public speaking with hopes to motivate and positively impact others through the power of song.
Beyond music, Camille is also a well-rounded athlete who enjoys biking, skiing, and competitive running. She has been praised for her success in triathlons and in more than 15 marathons spanning all seven continents. Camille placed first and second within several bodybuilding competitions. Notable events include the Boston Marathon, the Great Wall Marathon, and the Antarctica Marathon— all of which have played a role in her relentless enthusiasm for team building and leadership, travel, endurance, and perseverance.
Camille currently offers public presentations that motivate and inspire audiences through the incorporation of music, inspirational stories, and influential messages on subjects like diversity, cultural awareness, non-profit management and leadership, language and communication, student success, change and adaptability, physical as well as mental strength and endurance, and worldly enlightenment.
