When comedian Matt Geiler created Dancing Pumpkin Man in a desperate attempt to fill air time on a local news broadcast, he had no idea it would rack up more than 15 million online views, be featured in the national press and on network television, and become Internet culture's Lord of the Memes.

But the legend grows larger every year and Dancing Pumpkin Man continues to be mashed up, shared in thousands of GIFs, and celebrated by millions as the happiest harbinger of Halloween the Internet has ever produced.
