About Aaron Boe

It is Aaron Boe's unique blend of experiences and expertise that make him a truly one-of-a-kind expert speaker and consultant.

Corporate, Comedy & Serious about Solutions: Aaron Boe is the rare person who is both an expert on his subject and fully-grounded in the real-world. He has done time in a cubicle, and he has sold books door-to-door, connecting with over 15,000 different people in seven states for a college summer job. He's spoken to Ivy Leaguers and he's performed a paid standup comedy gig in the back of an Italian restaurant.

Aaron believes in tailoring every presentation because the necessity to connect and influence behavior drives every decision for content and design.

Solutions provided are twenty-years in the making. Because of the harm experienced by a victim/survivor close to him, Aaron began seeking insights in the late-90s on how to better prevent sexual assault and misconduct and other harmful behavior from occurring in the first place. Aaron's approach for helping organizations was to fill in where the gap is, remarking, "No one needs us to explain the laws--anyone can do that. But if people want to optimize their influence on behavior, that's what we help them do."

While advancing his career in corporate work during the day, he completed graduate work in educational psychology and spent over a decade studying the research literature. His results-oriented focus took him to the social sciences and systems thinking to seek insights on how to better understand and influence behavior, and to find science-based strategies for change.

Aaron provides answers to common questions:

  • How do we take the guesswork out of prevention?
  • How do we go beyond just a click-through e-module and optimize our approach?
  • How do we engage men, and how do we reach people who feel they've heard all this before?
  • Is all bystander intervention training the same? How do you implement realistic solutions that are tailored to our people?

Award-Winning: Aaron Boe is the developer of award-winning programs to prevent sexual misconduct and mistreatment in relationships, with a proven ability to connect with men as well as women.

Tested and Proven: His innovative approach to addressing sexual misconduct has consistently shown a significant impact across a dozen outcomes measured, even within the challenging audience of over 4,000 fraternity men.

Whole-Goal Impact—Prevention + Development: Aaron founded Prevention Culture with the philosophy that the goal is not only to prevent extreme behaviors, it is to also prevent the less-extreme yet unethical and costly behaviors, and to equip people for positive personal relationships. Beyond harassing behaviors and borderline comments, ineffective management and adversarial relationships also cause problems, increase turnover, and cost organizations money. What people and organizations truly want is a culture of positive and productive relationships, but it takes certain skills, standards, and systems for that culture to be developed and maintained. Policies and common training practices have consistently failed to accomplish these goals.

Connecting Across the Generations: The smartphone generation is here, and perhaps more than ever before generational divides can cause problems in the workplace. Aaron's unique background of having worked with campuses and students, in addition to being from the business world, allows him to be the ideal resource for those who value an expert who can also connect with everyone.

In a world in which one text message or one person's actions can cause severe damage to an organization, more people are realizing the value of a consultant and speaker who can reach each person and provide systems for realistic culture change.

With Aaron Boe, you don't have to settle for just checking the box; you can change your culture.

Crafting Culture: How to Take the Guesswork Out of Preventing Harm & Growing People and Profits

There is too much at stake to let serious issues be addressed by one-time click-through or sit-through talks. Traditional approaches to addressing sexual harassment and other serious issues has defaulted to focus on the lowest levels of behavior, leading many to dismiss it as irrelevant or to simply operate on low standards and borderline behavior that has a negative effect on productivity and retention.

But an equally unhelpful solution is to talk about "culture" as if it's a...
