In 2014 Erwin was a Toronto Mayor Candidate running against Rob Ford and John Tory. Now magazine described him as; 'the most interesting man in the world is running for Toronto mayor.'

Erwin is the founding President of Mount Knowledge Inc., a company that he started with an idea and in 3 years was able to take the company onto the USA stock market. Erwin knows first-hand how difficult it is to start a small business, make a profit, raise funds and stay afloat. He is a Guest Professor in Education and knows first-hand the educational struggles, parents, students and teachers face in handling the changes in the 21st century. Professor Sniedzins teaches 'Constructivism', Syntality and how to use knowledge acquisition technologies in a classroom.

Mr. Sniedzins has over 18 years with Xerox in various Senior Management positions. While there he was voted the most innovative manager and helped to grow the company from $2 Billion per year to $12 Billion. His combined 28 years of business experience with small, medium and large corporations have abled him to help create numerous job opportunities for people while providing them information that they need to find employment through; professional accreditation, sales and skill training, upgrades, internships and mentoring.

In 1991 he put together an Mt. Everest expedition called the "Climb for Hope" for Rett Syndrome and raised over $1.1 Million. He was able to produce this expedition into a movie that won the Gold Award at the New York Film Festival. Erwin also created the award-winning Mount Everest, Everfitness poster board game that went to schools across Canada so that students can simulate the CFH in Fitness, Wellness, Arts and Environment in their classrooms. The poster won the best in class educational board game by CAPHER. He was the Chairman of the Inner City Angels that provides art programs to inner-city children as he believes that all children should be able to play a musical instrument, learn a second language, write, draw and appreciate the arts. With 30 years of doing community and charity work he has a lot of experience in bringing together communities for worthy causes, helping newcomers to network and gain Canadian working experience.

As an author and publisher he has written and co-authored twelve books, "Who's Who in Toronto: A Celebration of this City", that became a bestseller, "Three Pillars of Love – Mt. Everest Expedition for Sarah", Selected Love Poems, one which won the North American Silver Medal for poetry and soon to be published "Make Mt. Everest Your Stepping Stone". He has co-authored ten (10) ESL Grammar workbooks and published Syntality® - Accelerated Learning by Actively Doing that trains people with special and general needs.
