Dan Reilly
Dan Reilly 'Foreboy' is a seasoned Block graduate, having competed with his partner Dani in
2012 and 2013.
As teens they watched The Block in 2003. By 2011 they decided they were old and brave enough to apply, however their plans were thwarted when Dan broke his wrist. Soon after, bitter disappointment set in when they saw the 2011 couples move in just around the corner from their apartment in Richmond, so they watched eagerly, making them even more determined. In 2012 Dan & Dani appeared on The Block.
Despite having no renovation experience this highly competitive couple were confident that their commitment and Dan's carpentry trade would stand them in good stead to win. While they had good times on The Block 2012 and returned for The Block All Stars in 2013, they also had some significant downs. They took a fair battering from the judges, from their competitors about their win-at-all-costs attitude and from each other, which tested their relationship but ultimately made them closer than ever.
Since The Block, Dan has upscaled his carpentry qualifications and is now a certified builder. Bitten by The Block bug, he approached the producers looking for a role on the show. He has lived through it all on The Block, and with his trade experience and new credentials is the perfect person to partner Keith and from 2015 is the resident 'Foreboy' on The Block.
Dan says: "When I was a contestant on The Block, I thought one Blockinator was one too many. Now there's two of us and Keith and I have clicked from the get-go. We are on the same page. I think he might be worried that I am going to be too soft on them. We'll have to wait and see."
Dan and Dani have recently moved to a new home they are building in Melbourne's west. Dan' Reilly 'Foreboy is definitely one to watch in 2015.
