Rachael Leahcar
Rachael Leahcar found her love of music at a very early age.
This includes singing (able to sing in Italian, French, English and Spanish), playing the piano and the flute. She has performed for many charities, festivals, weddings and other social functions over the years. Rachael entered many competitions over the years with a desire to excel in music. The first of which was Fellini's Search for a Star winning her 3rd place and a day in a recording studio at the age of 12. Achieving 1st place in Dino Prizzi's "International Festival of Song" preceded a trip to Italy to sing on RAI Uno Television at the age of 15.
She also appeared on a television station in Benevento, Italy. Because of this, she began performing regularly at Italian clubs, festivals and other multicultural gatherings. Winning 1st place in the "Star Life" competition, also at the age of 15, led to many requests to sing at weddings.
Rachael is now best known for her breathtaking performances on the first season of The Voice Australia, where all four judges hit the button for the opportunity to coach her. Rachael chose, Delta, her long time idol and finished the competition in 3rd place. Following The Voice, Rachael went on to sing with Bocelli's orchestra in Italy and went on national tour with Delta Goodrem. She released her debut album 'Shooting Star' in July 2012, which has reached Gold status in sales.
It was also during this year in which Rachael became an official ambassador of the Royal Society for the Blind, who provide support to those who are blind or vision impaired.
2013 has seen Rachael appearing on stages all around the country. Her second album 'Romantique' released in April, debuted in the Top 10.
