It was also recognized by the 103rd United States Congress as a national model for career search strategy. A third-party bought Chris' rights to the book in 2016.
Growing People: How green landscapes and garden changes can change lives (2015) served as Chris' second literary work. The book earned acceptance into the world's largest retail bookseller and was adopted by an international distributor.
The National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) has recognized Chris' work as both an editor and PR professional through his executive editor role in overseeing a bi-annual brand education magazine that reaches more than 150,000 readers each year. The publication, Focus, earned a Gold Medal award in 2014 and two regional awards from NCMPR in 2009 and 2011. The magazine was also named a top higher education publication in 2008 and 2009 by Higher Education Marketing. In addition to receiving numerous honors for his work in PR on behalf of NCMPR, the organization recently recognized Chris' partnership with a television network by way of a Gold Medal in 2016 for most outstanding feature story segment.
As a persuasive writer, Chris has written six winning nominations for nonprofit agencies in northeast Wisconsin, generating $30,000 for their causes. Chris' work for the college has appeared in USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, United States Department of Labor Newsletter, the Community College Times, and Christian Science Monitor, to name a few.
