In today's complex technological world, we need to better understand what we work with and what are the risk of using that technology. I bring an understanding on how to make sense in this cyber world

It was during his military career with the Royal 22e Régiment that Capt(ret) Waterhouse swapped the gun on the keyboard to become one of the first cyber-soldiers in the country. After working to train soldiers and officers in combat arms, He devotes himself in managing the LAN at the LFQAHQ and then the Montreal Metropolitan computer network. Next, he was made the first Information Systems Security Officer at the Montreal base and then of the Royal Military College of Saint-Jean. Mr. Waterhouse continued his quest for knowledge with private enterprise, shared his military and public speaking experience with the Canadian youth cadet movement as a CIC, and started his consulting business: INFOSECSW.

He continues to share his passion and experience as a lecturer with the Université de Sherbrooke at the Master’s microprogram in computer security - prevention and is invited to contribute his experience and expertise with the committees of the House of Commons of Canada and with the Quebec National Assembly. Mr. Waterhouse also served as the first assistant deputy minister of government security and cybersecurity for the Quebec Department of Cybersecurity and Digital Affairs until early 2023 and is frequently called upon in the Canadian news media to comment cybersecurity matters. He holds many technological professional certifications and is a CompTIA and CWNP instructor. He is also a PADI DIvemater.
