Born into small business I realised my passion for inspiring people to turn their ambitions into reality at a young age. At last count, I had coached over 300 individuals to reach their goals and beyond. My personal strength attributed to my solid background of over 30 years' experience in key business management roles along with a rainbow of life experiences, touched on below.

Not long after my husband, David, and I got married we endured our biggest challenge, the house fire. I saved his life by pulling him from our burning home, watched him die and come back in ICU, supported him through years' of pain, skin graft operations and rehabilitation.

With David recovering, a newborn baby and the recession, our backs were against the wall. With no other option, we decided to go for it and start our own business. We grew Laidlaw's (1989 -2003) from the back room of my Fathers office into one of the largest suppliers of word finishing equipment in W.A.

After having children, at age 33, I overcame Endometriosis. Resulting in seven major general anaesthetics and an ileostomy bag for a period of time. Given five years to live I decided to take a year off and backpack the world with my family, promoting a manager to run our business. Upon our return we sold Laidlaw's and concentrated on developing our property portfolio.

Regaining my strength, I was able to get back involved with Triathlon. Since completing the Busselton Ironman twice and representing Australia four times. Not long after having my knees reconstructed, I completed a life-long dream of swimming the 19.7km Rottnest channel swim solo.

After a successful five years in property we nearly lost everything in the GFC, hanging onto our family home by the skin of our teeth. With the ammunition of many challenges overcome, the need to support my family and the desire to help others, business coaching became the perfect vehicle.
