Award winning psychologist and best-selling author, Dr. Edna Brinkley is the owner and psychologist at The Brinkley Center in Austin Texas and Bellingham Washington. She helps professional women break the stress-worry cycle so they can feel calm and confident, even in chaos.
In addition to her "Conversations with Dr. B" (60-minute community presentations to select women's groups), Dr. Brinkley also consults, creates, and offers stress reduction and cultural awareness workshops to communities, businesses, and professional organizations.
In 2016, Dr. Brinkley was featured in the international best selling book, My Big Idea Book. She is also the author of The Stress of Eve™: Your Body, Your Mind, Your Life, which is a client workbook. She co-authored a chapter on cognitive behavioral techniques for client stress reduction in the graduate level textbook: Intentional interviewing and counseling: Facilitating client development in a multicultural society.
In 2007, she produced a training video for mental health clinicians on mindbody wellness: Stress management: Understanding and treatment.
In 2005, Dr. Brinkley became the first American certified as a Facilitator for Anti-Discrimination Response Training (A.R.T.)™
Dr. Brinkley received her PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2001. She has received additional training in mindbody wellness from Harvard Medical School CME.
