Anne-Marie Faiola
Anne-Marie Faiola is a successful serial entrepreneur, author, crafter, lifestyle coach, mom, and founder and CEO Bramble Berry® Handcraft Provisions, a DIY supplies business she founded in 1998. The company grew rapidly from its humble beginnings in her living room and now serves over sixty thousand customers worldwide. Bramble Berry® has been featured in magazines such as Women's World Daily, Herb Companion, HomeArts, Parents Guide, Herb Quarterly, Better Homes & Gardens, and special-interest publications and mentioned in Cosmo Girl, Teen Vogue, and Allure.
Passionate about helping other makers learn and grow their craft, Faiola expanded the Bramble Berry® network to include the popular soap-making instructional website TeachSoap.com, the blog Soapqueen.com, the YouTube channel SoapQueen.tv, and the brick-and-mortar crafting store Otion, in Bellingham, Washington. She authored Soap Crafting: Step-by-Step Techniques for Making 31 Unique Cold-Process Soaps (Storey Publishing, 2013) and Pure Soapmaking: How to Create Nourishing, Natural Skin Care Soaps (Storey Publishing, 2016), an Amazon number-one best seller. Faiola believes that when you feel your best, you do your best. One of her entrepreneurial endeavors is Best Day EverTM, an all-inclusive lifestyle brand with one unifying message: happiness is a choice. Through classes, merchandise and other resources for daily inspiration, Best Day EverTM helps women find their best life and live it by choosing to be happy, healthy, and confident every single day.
Faiola began her professional career with a brief (and admittedly ill-fitted) stint as a correctional officer after earning her bachelor's degree in psychology with an emphasis in criminal justice. While launching and running multiple businesses under the thriving Bramble Berry® brand, she earned an MBA from Heriot Watt Business University and completed the Entrepreneurial Masters Program from the MIT Birthing of Giants program. She also holds a Master Soapmaker Certification from the Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetic Guild, as well as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) designation from the South Puget Sound Community College.
As a wife and mother running multiple business ventures and overcoming obstacles on a daily basis, Faiola knows a thing or two about how to achieve balance. She launched Best Day EverTM to help women who feel tired, uninspired, and stuck in life attain happiness by ditching the "should" treadmill, finding balance, and living an authentic life on their own terms. With Best Day EverTM, she hopes to spark the sense of independence, confidence, and optimism that resides in every woman.
Faiola has appeared on Martha Stewart Living Radio, Disney Radio, DIY's Craft Lab, and the Home Shopping Network. She has been recognized as Small Business Person of the Year (Small Business Association, Washington State), Business Woman of the Year (Women's Business Owners Association, Washington State), Best Small Business (Whatcom County) and has appeared on lists such as Puget Sound Business Journal's 40 Under 40 and, Best Boss in America (Winning Workplaces and Fortune Small Business).
Faiola resides in Bellingham, Washington, with her husband Chris, and their two children, Jamisen and Lily. When not spending time with her family, sitting on a number of nonprofit boards, and running her soap-making and life-coaching empires, she is an avid reader and passionate crafter. A tireless entrepreneur, Faiola recently created Handmade Beauty Box, a monthly DIY beauty-subscription box, which received recognition by numerous media outlets including TODAY, InStyle, Woman's World, and Fox and Friends. You can find her on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and her YouTube channel, Soap Queen TV.
