After returning to the U.S., she worked as a political and business reporter, breaking a story that led to three federal indictments and convictions in a $500 million Ponzi scheme. Before working as a reporter, she managed public relations for political campaigns and interest groups in the Midwest and Washington, D.C. Munger holds a B.A. in political science from TCU and a M.A. in News-Editorial Journalism from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln. Lisa served as a Professor of Teaching in Journalism and Public Relations at Iowa State University for 7 years before leaving academia to work in industry.
